Is my device under warranty?

Check warranty status, by visiting checkcoverage.apple.com to find out if your device is in-warranty.

Do I need an appointment?

We recommend that you schedule an appointment, by calling us at 608-782-1565, to receive faster service, but also take walk-ins. Walk-In repairs are done on a first come first served basis. 

Before your appointment:
1.) Know your Apple ID and Password – visit iforgot.apple.com to reset if needed.
2.) Be sure to back up your device before coming in for service, Otherwise, we do offer a back up service. Details can be found here.
3.) Be sure to TURN OFF “Find My” in your iCloud settings. Details can be found here.

Your iPhone battery service might be covered by your warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. Otherwise, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee for battery service, as shown below.

If your iPhone has any damage that impairs the replacement of the battery, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the battery replacement. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.

Screen repair and accidental damage fees with AppleCare+

AppleCare+ includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage coverage. You can use an incident for screen repair or for other damage to your iPhone. Each incident has a service fee, as shown. The following prices are for Apple screen repairs with AppleCare+ accidental damage coverage.

The following screen repair prices apply if:

• You need to replace your screen due to accidental damage or mishandling. Accidental damage isn’t covered by the Apple limited warranty.

• Your iPhone screen gets broken while it’s still under warranty and you don’t have AppleCare+ coverage.

• Your screen stops working and your iPhone isn’t covered by the Apple warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+. 

Not all issues are repairable. If your iPhone has catastrophic damage from an accident or it’s inoperable after unauthorized modifications, you may need to buy a replacement.

Your MacBook battery service might be covered by your warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. Otherwise, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee for battery service.

If your MacBook has any damage that impairs the replacement of the battery, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the battery replacement. In those cases, there most likely be a cost associated with the repair.

For Out-of-warranty battery costs please call for an appointment or drop off your MacBook at the store for our technician to confirm the diagnosis and quote an accurate price. Prices are subject to change based on availability through Apple.

Screen repair and accidental damage fees with AppleCare+

AppleCare+ includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage coverage for 3 years. You can use an incident for screen repair on your Mac. Each incident has a service fee is just $99 and $300 for all other damage.

Please call to schedule an appointment or drop off your Mac for a price quote if the following applies:

• You need to replace your screen due to accidental damage or mishandling. Accidental damage isn’t covered by the Apple limited warranty.

• Your Mac’s screen gets broken while it’s still under warranty and you don’t have AppleCare+ coverage.

• Your screen stops working and your Mac isn’t covered by the Apple warranty, consumer law, or AppleCare+. 

Your iPad battery service might be covered by your warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. Otherwise, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee for battery service, as shown below.

If your iPad has any damage that impairs the replacement of the battery, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the battery replacement. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.

Screen repair and all accidental damage fees with AppleCare+

AppleCare+ includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage coverage for 2 years. You can use an incident for screen repair or for other damage to your iPad. Each incident has a service fee of $49 for all iPad’s older than A16 and $99 for all iPad’s A16 and newer.

Your Apple Watch battery service might be covered by your warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. Otherwise, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee for battery service of $150.

If your Apple Watch has any damage that impairs the replacement of the battery, such as a cracked screen, that issue will need to be resolved prior to the battery replacement. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.

Screen repair and accidental damage fees with AppleCare+

AppleCare+ includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage coverage for 2 years. You can use an incident for screen repair or for other damage to your Apple Watch. Each incident has a service fee of $69.

Screen repair and accidental damage fees (out-of-warranty)

All screen and other damage outside of warranty will have a flat rate cost of $290 for all Apple Watch SE’s, $460 for all Apple Watch Series 4 through 11, and $560 for all Apple Watch Ultra’s. 

Your AirPods service might be covered by your warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. Otherwise, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee quoted to you by the service technician.

If your AirPods have any damage that impairs the repair other than the specified issue, that issue will need to be resolved at the same time. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.

General repair and accidental damage fees with AppleCare+

AppleCare+ includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage coverage for 2 years. You can use an incident for any damage to your AirPods. Each incident has a service fee of $29.

Your HomePod or HomePod Mini service might be covered by your warranty, an AppleCare plan, or consumer law. Otherwise, you’ll pay an out-of-warranty fee quoted to you by the service technician.

If your HomePod or HomePod Mini has any damage that impairs the repair other than the specified issue, that issue will need to be resolved at the same time. In some cases, there may be a cost associated with the repair.

General repair and accidental damage fees with AppleCare+

AppleCare+ includes unlimited incidents of accidental damage coverage for 2 years. You can use an incident for any damage to your HomePod or HomePod Mini. Each incident has a service fee of $39 for the HomePod and $15 for the HomePod Mini.

The Mac Guys also services other devices such as Apple TV, Beats, AirTags and Apple Branded accessories. For both in-warranty and out-of-warranty products, we will quote you the best price for your repair and have it back to in as quickly as possible.
